Season One (1999-2000)
The first season of the Funday Pawpet Show began on November 28, 1999 and concluded on November 19, 2000.
1999 was the first year the Funday Pawpet was broadcast. Back then, the show did not have a proper name, being generally referred to as the Florida Furry Puppet Show. In addition, none of the characters were named.
At the turn of the millennium, the show - not to mention various characters - finally got its name. In addition, technical upgrades to the show's production, like camera switching, video effects, and playback of pre-recorded material, were beginning to show up this year.
- 50 shows aired this season, not counting the Anthrocon 2000 Pawpet Show.
- Two weeks did not have a show - February 06 and September 03.
- The first six shows used a couch as a “stage.” A proper stage was introduced by the seventh show.
- This was the only season to use the Muppet Show end theme at the end of the show. All subsequent seasons would use “Adios, Au Revoir, Auf Wedersehen” from The Lawrence Welk show as the end theme.
